One of the best features of our home is the pond we have in our backyard. It is a tranquil sight especially when one spends some time in the patio. When my friend called me the other day in such a panic, I was literally worried about what may have happened to her. Upon calming her down and listening in to her story, it was when I realized that her dog had died from a car accident. Sharing the apartment with my sister is one of the things which I looked forward to when I came to New York after I graduated from the university. A few weeks ago there was a stray cat who found his way in my yard. He had opened up the garbage can and eaten the scraps I have thrown in from the dinner I had the night before.
