bird ladders
September 3rd, 2009
Birds, like humans, need exercise to keep healthy. A bird’s muscles and cardiovascular system must always be kept in top condition. Without the proper amount of exercise, a bird’s health and behavior can be negatively affected. Behavioral changes caused by lack of exercise may include screaming, biting, feather chewing, and obesity.
Give your bird opportunities to exercise and use excess energy in a positive fashion. Place bird ladders, knotted ropes, rings and swings inside his cage. Some birds like chasing and retrieving rubber balls. Others prefer flying between perches or exploring different levels of a play gym.
