Cats are known to be very playful. Since they do not really have the logical mind of humans, they will always scratch wherever they feel like doing so. This is the reason why pieces of furniture are always the victim of cat scratch. Cat scratches leave ugly marks that are very unpleasing to the eye.
Below are some pointers to avoid cat scratch:
~Address destructive behavior by offering alternatives. Play with your cat; buy toys and mats that he could scratch on.
~Discourage your cats on scratching on unwanted areas by placing things he doesn’t want to scratch such as tapes and foils.
~Train your cat to scratch on designated areas only. Get some scratching poles or cat tree.
