Whenever we make use of bird feeders in our homes, we would often wonder why all the feeds we have patiently placed in feeders are gone and yet we rarely get to see any birds in our area. If we take a much closer look and observe, we would realize that these feeds are not being eaten by the birds themselves, as creatures such as squirrels have already beaten them to it. This situation can be very frustrating especially when we would want birds to fly about the area.

Those who are suffering from this predicament can make use of a squirrel proof bird seed feeder. This way, homeowners can get the assurance that the feeds they purchase get to be eaten by the birds themselves and no one else. This is an effective way of keeping squirrels and other creatures out of the garden. Now you can enjoy a full garden with various birds without any worries.

Give them Space

Last week, my friend called me because his parrot looked like it was sick. I told him to go to the vet and have it checked out. But he told me that his vet was out of town and he needed someone to quickly check his bird out. He told me that since I was taking care of birds for almost all my life, I should have an idea on what’s happening to his bird.

So I rushed to his house and had a look. To my horror, I saw that his bird had a cage that is really very small for its size. I instantly told him that it was the reason for his bird’s condition. I told him to buy one of those XL parrot cages at once because his bird cannot even move around his cage. Parrots or any bird in particular, need their space because their health and well-being will greatly be affected if you coop them up in a small cage.

I am a pet owner and I am taking care of birds. Most of them are outside of our house and I just let stray birds stay at the bird house I built at the backyard. Sometimes, a few stay there for months and I consider myself their adoptive parent. But there is one very special bird that I keep inside and I just let him outside when I’m sure that he won’t get lost.

That bird is my parrot and is very special to me. I even bought him the most expensive and beautiful cage that he can enjoy. Aside from that, I give him bird cage covers whenever I feel like it’s too cold or there’s too much sunlight near his cage. I really do not know what I would do without my pet.
