Getting Injured

January 27th, 2012

I was really saddened when my dog had gotten into an accident a few weeks back. I have accidentally left the front door open and my dog ran out to the street. He was hit by a car and was really hurt I immediately needed to take him to the veterinarian. Having him for many years, I would not forgive myself if something bad happened to him.

The vet treated his injuries and asked me to take him to rehabilitation in order to get him back to perfect condition. He mentioned about Aqua Paws and how it can help my dog to walk right back to normal again. I would do anything for my dog and was really worried about his welfare, so I went ahead and took his advice. We are on his second week of rehab and I am seeing a lot of significant improvement for my pet.

Do you know that there are obese dogs? They are dogs that cannot even walk around the house because they get tired easily. My friend owns a dog that just stays in one corner all day long because it cannot move around the house anymore because of its weight. The dog eventually died and my friend regretted the neglect of not giving it the proper diet and exercise it needed.

That’s why you need to know that your dogs need exercise too. A game of fetch every weekend can help them keep in shape and it can also help you exercise so think of it as a good thing for the both of you. You can also opt to buy a dog exercise pen where your dog can exercise in the comfort of your own house. Like you, your dogs also need to be healthy all the time.

Keeping your dog safe is of the utmost importance. Especially when they are still small, making sure they don’t get into trouble is top priority. However, keeping them out of harm’s way involves not letting them wander off too far, as well as keeping other things from wandering in. One of the best ways to create a secure environment for your pup is through dog pens. These enclosures have developed so much that they resemble luxury pads more than they do the age old cages.

One such example is the soft side play pen by Precision pet. This abode which costs about $52.96 is something your pup will surely enjoy. It is made of durable fabric held up by steel wire frames. It is sturdy enough to be placed outdoors yet has a cool breathable material which also makes it perfect indoors. Many use it as a traveling enclosure since it is easy to pack up and set up. It is waterproof and has zipper access from various directions to make sure that your pet is comfortable and more importantly, safe.

Treadmills are a great piece of exercise equipment because it has different speed settings, so you can choose the speed that is right for you. Beginners can start with a small jog. While more experienced runners can move up the speed settings quicker. It is more convenient to use one as well specially during unsafe conditions that include: extreme cold or heat; night time conditions, heavy traffic conditions, icy or snow packed streets, periods of high air pollution and severe storms or winds. There is no excuse not to go running when you have one at home. You can even time your speed while you do the exercise and still making yourself available at home for any important commitments or phone calls.

Do you think I’m discussing these advantages just for you? No. I am showing you advantages that can be applied for your dog, too. So, get a dog treadmill now and never have to worry about dog fights while you take your dog for a run. You are not the only who needs the exercise. Dogs do, too.

Any dog needs time to exercise so he could continue to be active and healthy. But if you don’t have much time to go outdoors and walk him every day or you don’t own a fenced in yard, that could be a problem. Opt for a dog exercise pen as it will provide your pet with a safe space where he can get regular exercise.

An exercise pen will further prevent your pet from roaming in places where he should not be. He can instead be contained in a familiar and comfortable location. This is particularly useful if your dog has a tendency to be disruptive with plants and your neighbors’ other pets.

Getting your dog an exercise pen will give you the feeling of security. You may be busy in the kitchen and yet be assured that your little puppy or hunk of a dog is safe in your backyard. A dog exercise pen will also guarantee that your flowering azaleas will not end up pulled from its bed by an over eager puppy. An unassuming dog pen can make life easier for you and your puppy.

They come in all sizes, shapes and material. The more popular ones are made of metal and plastic. Pens made of strong wire or sturdy plastic have enough open spaces to eliminate the feeling of isolation. They are available in heights just right enough so that your dog cannot climb out. Because they fold flat, they can be easily transported from inside the house to an outside location. You can even bring them along when puppy comes with you on a trip.

All dogs need exercise. The degree of exercise will depend on your dog breed. Bulldogs for example need only about 50 yards of walking at a time. Any longer and they might drop dead. Other dogs on the other hand, need to run the whole day. For dog owners who have dog breeds like Labradors, Dobermans, Shepherds, Greyhounds etc., the best solution might be dog exercise pens.

Dog exercise pens will allow your dog to exercise by themselves without hurting themselves. You don’t need to keep an eye on them all the time. If you have a dog breed that needs to run a lot and you don’t allow them to, they will need to expend their energies elsewhere. They might dig holes in your carpet and bark a lot. They might also make minced meat out of your couch or shoes.
