retractable dog leash

February 1st, 2010

It is always fun to take our pets to the park for a walk. However, we have to make sure they stay close to us so we don’t have to run after them and eventually lose them. A retractable dog leash can keep your dog secured without feeling so restricted. He can still have some comfort and freedom of movement while you control the distance between the two of you. A hand-held reel loops up the cord that’s attached to the leash enabling the owner to adjust the distance.

Retractable dog leash can be made from leather, cotton or nylon. The cord attached can be extended as far as 26 feet. This is best for training your dog to come to you upon your command. If you don’t feel like going out, you can use this leash to allow your pet to play in the yard.

dog backpack

I love the outdoors. One weekend a month I take off on a camping trip. Nothing beats being out in nature. It’s my way to recharge my batteries. My only companion in this trip is my dog Andre. He serves as my companion and my bodyguard. He even carries his own supplies via a dog backpack.

When going on a camping trip with your dog, you don’t have to carry all the supplies. You dog can pull his own weight. Just get him a dog backpack and he can carry his own food, first aid kit and a couple of supplies. You can’t put too much on his backpack because you’ll be torturing your dog. Plus, he might get snag in a branch, bush or something.
