dog leash
Putting a leash on your dog when you walk him out of your yard will ensure that he is safe from harm. There are many possibilities that a dog can get into harm’s way. One is the presence of vehicles. Another is the possibility of ingesting something that is dangerous to its health. You might even get into trouble with a neighbor if it messes up with her flowering shrubs.
With these in mind, think about buying and using a dog leash. Do this if your pet is mild mannered but more so if he tends to be aggressive and tends to irritate other dogs. A dog leash should be about six feet long, just enough to give him a little freedom while still possible to control his every move. You should also learn how to hold the leash properly. Holding the leash with two hands is the most common method, one hand on the loop and the other holding the leash about half way to the dog’s neck. This way you can quite easily control the dog’s desire to jump or pull ahead while at the same time giving him room to maneuver
