How do dogs communicate

April 8th, 2009

Dogs are at the top when it comes to the list of intelligent domestic pets. They are able to communicate well with humans and other dogs. They do this through body signs and various vocals. The signs are created using body movements that involve eyes, ears, eyebrows, head, mouth, and tail.

How do dogs communicate? Here are some examples:~High held tail – shows confidence ~Tail between the legs – insecurity or fear ~Slow wagging of tail – in the process of figuring out a situation ~Fast wagging of tail – sign of excitement ~Showing of fangs and snarling – means the dog is ready to bite or attack
