Organic pet food
It is our desire to eat only healthy food. This means shelling out the extra dollar that it takes to be supplied with organic food. This concern should also be applied to our pets. Organic pet food should be chosen over those that are produced using pesticides, antibiotics and hormones. These chemicals are believed to cause cancer and other health problems.
But even organic pet food users themselves are not confident that they are getting the benefits that are being claimed. The reason is that they do not understand labels that contain terms such as ‘meat by products’ or ‘meat meal’. These are very vague ingredients that are presumably the discards of meat after harvesting for human consumption. These are parts that include heads, bones, internal organs, etc. They are asking, ‘is it fit for pet consumption?’
