Grooming Your Dog
The physical state of a dog influences the way he feels and the way we look at our dogs as well. This is the basic reason why dog grooming is important. Around springtime all of the dog grooming ’salons’ are full of dogs with dirty, rough or greasy hair needing dog shampoo. A lot of them have nails that are too long to walk on and they have teary eyes and dirty ears. Obviously a dog that comes in this way has not been well taken care of all winter. After giving the dog a nice grooming, these dogs seem to have more life in them.
Another example is a dog whose hair has grown so long in front of his face that it blocks his eyes. This would make the dog feel threatened and he will naturally go on the defense as he cannot see well. This situation can actually affect other animals to the point where they become fearful of people and other animals and sometimes becoming aggressive. That is why it is important to keep your dog well groomed. This affects his temperament and how he deals with people and other animals.
