Petmate kennel
At one time or another you and your dog will find yourselves getting ready for a trip. It could be a camping trip or a visit to relatives in a distant location. One of the first things you will want to get your dog is a kennel or crate. It will keep him safe at the back of your car and it will keep you focused on your driving. To be sure, the Petmate kennel should be one that is comfortable for the long drive. It should be tall enough such that the dog can stand up and still have a couple of inches allowance overhead.
There are other things to take care of regarding your trip. If this will be the dog’s first long trip, introduce him to the experience by driving him to nearby places like the park. Do this often enough and he will be adjusted by the time you go on your long trip. On travel day, feed your dog with a light meal four hours before you are scheduled to start. Avoid feeding him in the vehicle, otherwise you might find yourself swearing and cleaning up in the middle of your trip.
