dog rally

November 30th, 2009

Dog owners can be competitive in nature as they want to show off their dog’s many talents and capabilities. Thus, many owners sign up for dog rally events to show the world how much better their dogs are than others’. Here, the dog ad handler team moves through a rally course comprised of 10-20 signs with the dog at the handler’s left side.

At each numbered sign, both dog and owner have to perform the specified exercise before moving on to the next sign. The handle should be able to communicate well to his dog and give multiple commands and signals to finish each task. In dog rally, scoring is less rigid than in traditional obedience competitions.
