Dog Agility Training Equipment

May 28th, 2010

Agility shows are shows where owners can show off their dog’s energetic personality and amazing agility. The dog owners direct their dogs through an obstacle course made of hurdles, tires, and tunnels in a race for both time and accuracy. These dogs run without a leash and without toys or food as incentives. Agility, jumping, gamling, and team relays are a few common competition classes the dog owners can enter their dogs in.

Every dog agility trainer has to have their own obstacle course for practice, or dog agility toys to harness their dog’s skills. Here’s a list of equipment commonly used in agility training:

  • A-frame
  • Dog walk
  • See-saw
  • Tunnels
  • Crossovers
  • Tire Jump
  • Hurdle
  • Pause table
  • Weave poles
