dog obedience jumps
January 20th, 2009
When it comes to dog competitions, there is no substitute for experience and practice. Prepare your dog well in advance before entering him to any contests. Competitors will do well to practice on dog obedience jumps, weave pole sets, tire jumps, tunnels, chutes, etc. You need to gain team confidence.
Make exercises familiar by taking your dog to matches as often as possible. Train in various locations so your dog can perform exercises anywhere without having a preference for a particular place. Study courses and look for hard and challenging sequences then set them up in your backyard. Knowing you and your dog are ready will help reduce the nervousness when you finally go out there to take on real challenges.
