I became a fan of internet transaction when I bought a domain name for my website. It was a hassle-free experience that liberated me somehow. So I began to order bags, shirts and dog and cat supplies on the internet. My mother who’s a very traditional woman predicted that I’ll be the next victim of internet hoaxes. However, I assured her that everything is okay as I’ve tried it already.
To further assure her and eventually convert her I gave her the following tips just in case she decides to try online transactions herself:
- Be wary of the product photos, look for product dimension or size instead.
- Read through the âAbout Usâ and âContactâ pages before going deeper into the âProduct Catalogueâ
- For added security, try to check if the site starts with âhttpsâ
- If possible try ordering from sites that already have a good reputation, or good reviews from friends.
- Lastly use your own judgement. If you are suspicious about the site then donât order from it.
