Would you Use a Biodegradable Pet Urn?
Even pet urns have been touched by the green revolution. There are memorial urns that are biodegradable. One such urn is made of handmade paper with grass and flowers mixed in for color. Another is meant for water burial. It is engineered to float for 3 to 5 minutes before gracefully descending into the ocean floor. It is there where it is expected to break down naturally. Water burial is covered by Federal rules that regulate locations where burial is allowed.
These special urns are manufactured with the environment in mind. It makes use of sustainable materials such as tree barks and other natural materials that do not damage plants when harvested. These materials are processed and end up as different forms of paper boxes. Environment friendly or not, I don’t know if a lot of people prefer this kind of urn. Personally I would rather have the remains of my pet close by and intact.
